Welcome to Rezo. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it. By using Rezo, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Password (stored in encrypted form — we never see your plaintext password)

Professional profile information (professionals only)

Languages spoken (e.g., English, Haitian Creole, French, Spanish, Portuguese)
Profile photo and bio

Payment information

We collect payment information when professionals subscribe to a paid plan. All payment data is processed and stored by Stripe, Inc. Rezo does not store your full card number, CVV, or banking details on our servers. We may retain billing records such as transaction amounts, dates, and last-four card digits for accounting purposes.

User-submitted content

Reviews and ratings submitted by consumers about professionals
Messages sent through the platform between users
Any other content you voluntarily submit

Usage & analytics data

Pages visited, features used, and time spent on the platform
Search queries and filtering choices
Clicks, scrolls, and interaction patterns

3. How we use your information

To create and manage your account
To display professional profiles to consumers searching the directory
To process payments and subscriptions for professional listings
To facilitate communication between consumers and professionals

To improve Rezo's features, usability, and content

4. Cookies & tracking technologies

Rezo uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve the platform. These include:

Essential cookies: Required for the platform to function (e.g., keeping you logged in)
Analytics cookies: Used to measure traffic and user behavior
Preference cookies: Used to remember your settings and choices

You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling certain cookies may affect platform functionality. We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.

5. Third-party services

Rezo shares limited data with the following third-party services in order to operate the platform. We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

Stripe, Inc. — Processes payments. Your payment data is transmitted directly to Stripe and governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
Supabase — Our database and authentication infrastructure. Your account data and content is stored on Supabase's servers.
Vercel — Our platform host. Network requests and IP addresses may pass through Vercel's infrastructure.

6. How long we keep your information

Account data: Retained for the duration of your account. Deleted within 30 days of a verified account deletion request.
Transaction records: Retained for up to 7 years to comply with financial and tax recordkeeping requirements.
Usage and analytics data: Retained for up to 24 months in aggregate or anonymized form.
Communications and reviews: Retained as long as the account is active or as required by law.

7. How we protect your information

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
Encrypted storage for passwords and sensitive fields
Access controls limiting which team members can access user data
Use of trusted infrastructure providers (Supabase, Vercel, Stripe) with their own security certifications

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Marketing communications

If you have created an account or subscribed to updates, we may send you marketing emails about Rezo features, promotions, and product news. You can opt out at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link in any marketing email, or by emailing us at privacy@joinrezo.com with the subject line "Unsubscribe". You will continue to receive transactional emails even if you opt out of marketing communications.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

Right to access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Right to correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information
Right to deletion: Request that we delete your account and associated data
Right to portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
Right to object: Object to certain uses of your data, including marketing
Right to opt out of sale: We do not sell your data, but you have this right under applicable law

California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA. To exercise any of your rights, email us at support@joinrezo.com. We will respond within 30 days.

10. Children's privacy

Rezo is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly. Contact us at support@joinrezo.com if you believe a child has submitted information to Rezo.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and notify registered users via email where required. Your continued use of Rezo after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
